GROSBEAKS
The name 'Grosbeak' is given to several species of 'seed-eating passerines'; otherwise referred to as 'perching birds'.

Grosbeaks are members of both cardinal and finch familes; which include over 5,000 individual species. Grosbeak Finches are often considered the 'true' Grosbeaks.

Grosbeak finches are mostly plump, stocky birds similar in size to a robins. They have thick, stubby bills and vary in colors. They nest in coniferious forests usually 10 - 15 feet above ground and feed on buds and fruits of trees.
